Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As is standard for running any moderately complex application, iGene takes some effort to setup, configure, maintain and modify over its lifetime. As part of this, both Genial and the customer have a number of responsibilities concerning the life cycle of the project.

Genial Genetics

As the vendor, we are responsible for providing the application and any relevant documentation that helps the customer to install, update and maintain the system in a standard environment:

  • Application Updates
  • Installation documentation
  • Migration documentation
  • Third line support (if required)

We will also be available to help with any technical issues that may occur, however Genial are not responsible for day to day system administration duties such as upgrades and environmental copy or setup. If these activities are undertaken by Genial then this will be chargeable.

The Customer

Each iGene environment is the customer’s responsibility to install, document and maintain over the life cycle of the product. This includes creating copies and new clean environments, performing updates and any acceptance testing:

  • Setup environments
  • Install Updates
  • Troubleshoot local issues
  • Documentation of the environments
  • Backup and Restore
  • Acceptance testing
  • Service Monitoring
