Test Data Templates

The Test Data Templates preference is used to record a list of test data templates in the system. These are found in the Tests/Orders preferences when the test itself is set as a Custom Test. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.

The table of Test Data Templates will display the code and name for the test data template.

Configuration

When adding or editing a test data template, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a test data template.

Edit Test Data Template

Name (Required)

A name for the test data template. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the test data template. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Custom Fields

A table where custom fields can be defined.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the custom field. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Name (Required)

A name for the custom field. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Default Value

A default value for the custom field.

Result Type

A dropdown list to select the type of result for the custom field.

Skip Validation

A checkbox to skip validation for the custom field.

Has Blind Result

A checkbox to indicate if the custom field has a blind result.

Default From Previous

A checkbox to indicate if the custom field should default from the previous result.

Batch

A checkbox to indicate if the custom field is batched.

Custom Views

A table where custom views can be defined.

View Name (Required)

A name for the custom view. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Test Status

A dropdown list to select the status of the test.

View Type

A dropdown list to select the type of view.

Edit

A button to open a window to edit the custom view. This allows for much more complex views to be created.
