Storage Locations

The Storage Locations preference is used to record a list of storage locations in the system. These are found when moving a sample. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.

Location

The table of Storage Locations will display the code, name, and status for the storage location.

Configuration

When adding or editing a storage location, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a storage location.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the storage location. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Name (Required)

A name for the storage location. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Active

A checkbox to activate/deactivate an entry. If the preference is not active, it will not be selectable in any drop-down lists.

Description

A description of the storage location. This is optional but can be useful for identifying the location.

Composition

Name/Static Test (Required)

A name for the composition. This is required and should be unique.

Type

A dropdown list of types for the composition. This can be Text, Numbers, or Letters.

Minimum Value

The minimum value for the composition. This is optional.

Maximum Value

The maximum value for the composition. This is optional.
