Referral Reason Categories

The Referral Reason Categories preference is used to record a list of referral reason categories in the system. These are found when defining a test in the Tests/Orders preference. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.

Location

The table of Referral Reason Categories will display the code, name, and status for the referral reason category.

Configuration

When adding or editing a referral reason category, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a referral reason category.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the referral reason category. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Name (Required)

A name for the referral reason category. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Tests

A list of tests that are associated with this referral reason category.
