Movement Reasons

The Movement Reasons preference is used to record a list of movement reasons in the system. These are found within the movement category preference. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.

Location

The table of Movement Reasons will display the code, name, and status for the movement reason.

Configuration

When adding or editing a movement reason, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a movement reason.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the movement reason. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Name (Required)

A name for the movement reason. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Active

A checkbox to activate/deactivate an entry. If the preference is not active, it will not be selectable in any drop-down lists.

Label (Required)

A label for the movement reason.

Movement Type (Required)

A dropdown list to select the movement type for the movement reason.

Require Confirmation

A checkbox to require confirmation when selecting the movement reason.

Available Categories

A table of movement categories that are associated with the movement reason.

Category Name

The name of the movement category.

Allowed Statuses

A table of statuses that are allowed for the movement reason.

Status Name

The name of the status.
