Data Items

The Data Items preference is used to record a list of data items in the system. These are found within the Custom Fields preference. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.

Location

The table of Data Items will display the code, name, and type for the data item.

Configuration

When adding or editing a data item, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a data item.

Code (Required, Unique)

A unique code for the data item. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.

Name (Required)

A name for the data item. It is advisable to keep this unique.

Data Type (Required)

A dropdown list of data types.

Namespace

A dropdown list of namespaces.
