The Counselling Topics preference is used to record a list of counselling topics in the system. These are found when adding a counselling topic to an appointment outcome. The choice of values are selected using an autocomplete or dropdown list.
The default build does not have this field, so the example below shows where it would usually appear (between Counselling Topics and Results and Notes).

The table of Counselling Topics will display the code, name, description, and status for the counselling topic.
When adding or editing a counselling topic, users are presented with the below form to complete. Always press Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the browser after adding or editing a counselling topic.

A unique code for the counselling topic. This can be the same as the name but must be unique throughout the entire system.
A name for the preference. It is advisable to keep this unique.
A checkbox to activate/deactivate an entry. If the preference is not active, it will not be selectable in any drop-down lists.
A description of the counselling topic. This is optional but can be useful for users to understand the purpose of the counselling topic.
A list of entries that are associated with the counselling topic. This is optional but can be useful for users to understand the purpose of the counselling topic.
